We did it.
We are so grateful to everyone who performed, taught, took classes, or just came to see shows. You let us know that we made the right call when we chose to resurrect the festival. Seeing all of the smiling faces, hearing the laughter, and being gifted with so many “thank you”s from friends and strangers alike… it was overwhelming. There were tears, not gonna lie. Saturday night, and Sunday’s teardown were both very emotional for all of us.
But we did it. It’s done. And hopefully you are as happy as we are…
Over the course of last week:
- 423 humans (+ a whole bunch of performers and volunteers) saw shows
- 44 students took workshops
- 1 guy showed up for 3 show blocks because Chat GTP told him that he should
- 3 news outlets ran stories on the festival
- 1 UkuLenny hosted Improv Karaoke
- 14 volunteers helped with 5 workshops and cat-herded 74 performers from 19 ensembles during 10 show blocks
- 1 Natalie painted a BUNCH of faces
and - 3 producers did NOT have nervous breakdowns thanks to the 1 volunteer coordinator who nearly did
Not bad, huh?
Before we release you into the wild to go back to your normal, non-festival lives, we have a couple favors to ask:

Again, thank you all for showing up to support SFIF. It made all of the blood, sweat, and tears 100% worth it. And yes, Clay is clumsy and totally bled. All over some chairs. It looked like an episode of Dexter. Thankfully, Lisa carries one of those Tide Pen thingies. For the chair, not Clay’s finger.
