Best friends and veteran improvisers Suzi Barrett and Rebecca Drysdale team up to bring you some of the best two-prov anywhere in the universe ever. You’ve seen them separately at UCB New York and LA, The Second City mainstage in Chicago, and Boom Chicago in Amsterdam. Now see them together… right here at SFIF 2013!
Becky Drysdale: Rebecca began her comedy career in Chicago as part of the duo Two White Guys (with Key & Peele’s Jordan Peele) and they were soon shipped off to perform with Boom Chicago, an American style comedy theatre in Amsterdam. Returning to Chicago, she eventually was hired to the ETC stage at The Second City, and had the great fortune of appearing at the Aspen Comedy Festival, where she performed with Flight of The Concords and took home the first ever Break-Out Performer award. She has been featured in TIME magazine as a comedy innovator, in Variety as one of ten comics to watch, and in GO Magazine’s Hundred Women We Love. She has since done work for HBO, MTV, LOGO, and The Jim Henson Company, and has been a writer with Comedy Central’s Key & Peele since it’s inception.
Suzi Barrett: Originally from Michigan, Suzi got her degree in theatre at Western Michigan University, then moved to Chicago where she studied improv at The Second City and iO. From there, she headed to Amsterdam, and spent 3 years performing with Boom Chicago– or as the Dutch often call it– “De Chicago Boom Boom”. A member of the UCBTLA community since 2006, Suzi has studied with Matt Besser and Ian Roberts, and makes frequent appearances in “Worst Laid Plans”,”Soundtrack”, and “the line in the bathroom at Birds”.
