Awkward Silence

Awkward Silence is a completely student-run, un-funded, kick-ass improv team from the University of San Francisco. Started approximately a decade ago, this short form team has just started to break out of the University walls and has seen success in the Bay Area improv scene. The founding of Awkward Silence has been lost to the ravages of time. But what hasn’t been lost is the camaraderie and the commitment to great improvisation. Chiefly short form improvisers, they have been expanding their repertoire to include long form thanks to wonderful collaborations with EndGames Improv. Most students of the University of San Francisco know Awkward Silence as those folks that hog classrooms without a reservation. The rest know them by their heady mix of short scenes and games.
