BATS Improv

(25th Anniversary show) Through a genuine commitment to character and developing story, BATS Improv has earned an international reputation for creating theatre that is both hilarious and compelling. Starting with a title from the audience, BATS’ players create a sustained, single-story narrative, often running the same length as a scripted play. Now in their 25th year, BATS Improv is San Francisco’s largest and longest-running Improv Theatre Company. A 15-Time “Best of the Bay” winner, BATS Improv has earned a reputation for creating hilarious, innovative, and compelling theatre. The BATS Main Stage Company performs 50 weekends a year from their home at The Bayfront Theatre in historic Fort Mason Center. BATS is also home to the BATS School of Improv, Northern California’s largest and most well-respected improv training ground. At SFIF, BATS presents two shows – a Theatresports match played by BATS Company and Alumni followed by a fully improvised long-form story.
