Jaime Rich

Jaime has taught improv for four years around the Bay Area. She teachs all levels-from beginners to advanced, from middle schoolers to residents in assisted living facilities. She teaches ongoing classes and workshops through her own non-profit, Spontaneous Mind and through Mt. Diablo Adult Ed, Martinez Adult Ed, Pleasant Hill Rec and Acalanes Adult Ed. She also teaches at Lawrence Livermore National Labs, Town Hall Theatre in Lafayette, and at Provocation Theater in Berkeley.

She strives to create a warm, welcoming, inclusive environment in every class. Laughter, camaraderie, collaboration, co-creation, and encouragement are key. She morphs classes according to who is in it, their skill level, and/or any accommodations that one may need. She adheres to the ‘there are no mistakes in improv’ way of thinking and encourages sharing of thoughts and ideas.

2026 Workshop: Rescue Your Partner / Rescue the Scene

This workshop introduces a practical, repeatable toolkit for identifying when a scene is losing focus and making grounded, in-character moves that re-establish relationship, stakes, and direction. Participants will learn how to support without overriding, clarify without stopping momentum, and make bold choices that move the scene forward.

Through targeted exercises and coached scene work, performers will develop the awareness and confidence to turn uncertain moments into compelling ones.

Rooted in applied improvisation principles from Yes And… Communication, this workshop strengthens both performance and ensemble trust.
