Suzi Barrett came to LA by way of Amsterdam, where she spent 3 years making jokes about Dutch stuff with the internationally renowned improv/sketch company Boom Chicago. She currently writes for the TBS show “America’s Next Weatherman,” and plays Kirby’s mom on the Disney XD show “Kirby Buckets.” Other TV credits include Drunk History, How I Met Your Mother, Arsenio Hall, Shake it Up, and a few million commercials for everything from Progressive (car insurance) to Esurance (also car insurance). Suzi is a member of the UCB tourco, and improvises weekly with Sentimental Lady, Brand New Ball, Play By Play, and Toledo Rep. Watch her popular web series “I Hate California” on Funny or Die. WORKSHOP: The Game — Who/what/where is a wonderful vehicle… but “game” will make your scenes GO! In this workshop, we will work on giving your scenes focus and purpose by identifying and playing game. Practice finding games in organic scenes, as well as starting scenes with a game in mind. This workshop is designed for experienced improvisors.
