The Right Now

Group Bio

“Mariah Howard, Claire Slattery and Fontana Butterfield met while part of the Leela Armando Company in San Francisco, CA. They clicked liked gangbusters. In Summer 2013, the trio was formed and began its sold-out run of self-produced shows at venues across San Francisco. This group of three women bring a ton of experience and enthusiasm to this art of making it up in the moment. The Right Now is what it’s all about.

The Right Now performs longform comedic improvisation, pulling from the stylings of The Harold and The Armando. These three women are serious about their funny and serve up a unique blend of character-driven improv that ranges from absurd logic to absurd physicality. The Right Now creates a set that keeps audiences laughing, connecting and believing with surprise, mischief and delight.

Past festival appearances include: Femprov Fest 2014, San Francisco Improv Fest 2014, Seattle Festival of Improv Theater 2015, SF Sketchfest 2015, Out of Bounds Comedy Festival 2015, San Francisco Improv Fest 2015, Cake Batter’s Funny Women Festival 2015 in Los Angeles, and will headline sets at the upcoming Alaska State Improv Festival 2016.”
