Working in the Improv Shop: Dave Razowsky

Whatever you need to do to get your play to the next level, there’s not much that compares to an intensive workshop to shake up your usual usuals on stage.

That’s why we’re always excited to roll out workshops every year (we take them, too!), and 2013 has a great lineup. This year we’re excited to announce workshops with Dave Razowsky, Rich Talarico of Key & Peele, Jet Eveleth, and SNL’s Paul Brittain.

Last year we sold out our one day workshop with Dave Razowsky and this year we are on track to do the same for his two-day intensive on Viewpoints – a really powerful doubling down on trusting your own impulse in the moment and sticking with your scene partner.

Dave picked up this approach when teaching at the Steppenwolf Theater in Chicago. It was there he was exposed to – and inspired by – the power of Anne Bogart and Tina Landau’s Viewpoints training, and immediately saw how the tools of Viewpoints play in improv theatre. Dave’s workshop will help you explore what it means to be an actor in improvisational theater – very engaging an inspirational stuff. Definitely jump on a spot if you are interested – it will sell out!
