Writing the ‘Rock: 30 Rock’s Kay Cannon in Conversation with the SFIF

Come see 30 Rock’s Kay Cannon in person this Friday, May 20th, at the legendary comedy club, The Purple Onion – tickets only $10 in advance, $15 at the door!!

Doors open at 6pm, talk starts at 6:30 – come by after work for some drinks & hear about what it’s like to write with Tina Fey and an array of insanely talented colleagues on one of the most original, successful comedies on TV today.

We’ll be covering how she got involved with the show, and the role of improvisation on a show dominated by people who got their start in improv comedy. She’ll also talk about favorite scenes she’s written, as well as comment on the changing role of women in comedy.

The SFIF’s own Anthony Veneziale will be interviewing Kay, and fielding questions from the audience.
